Ontario launches $75 million strategy to support advanced research computing and big data

The Province of Ontario announced on Jan.27, 2017, the launch of the Advanced Research Computing and Big Data Strategy which will strengthen the foundation for innovation across the province. The announcement includes $75 million to “help Ontario’s leading researchers solve real world problems using sophisticated computers with massive data storage capabilities and computing power.”

Hon. Reza Moridi, Minister, Research, Innovation and Science, made the announcement in partnership with Compute Ontario.
